Our February athlete of the month is Tracy Hutchinson – Figure athlete (nominated in Best Female category – Irish Bodybuilding awards for achivements in 2022).
Little bit about yourself:
I am a secondary school teacher and I teach art. Love my job and the pupils keep me motivated.
Got into the bodybuilding world through having a bad relationship with food and not eating, to the point that it caused me to be quite ill.
How did you get into fitness scene:
I started training in 2014, aiming for my first show, although I have always been a bit of a cardio fanatic. Changed my mindset into weight training! Stepped on stage for the first time in 2015.
My coach is @marcin.olz. I have been working with him for a short time. He prepped me 2 weeks out of the Nabba N.Ireland and I won.
So in such a short space of time he knew how my body worked and I brought home the Universe title.
My partner, Steven Stewart (@bighippy10) trains me and keeps me focused.
I only had one goal for 2022 when I started this journey into competing again. (I didn’t compete since 2017 due to a car accident and then covid) It was for my parents to see me on stage holding a trophy! I only wanted to win Nabba Northern Ireland title but achieved way more beyond my expectations.
What are your goals?:
My goal now is to work hard and hopefully move up a category and have the opportunity to compete again in the future.
Most Notable Achievement:
I would say my biggest achievement was winning Nabba Universe.
