Meet Sara Bradley our Feature Female Athlete of July 2021
About me – I’ve been training since I was 10 years old. For a long time I was an avid gym goer, footballer and powerlifter, represented team GB at the BPU powerlifting European championships where I won my category in both bench press and deadlift.
I then went to university to study sports therapy and played lots of football, taking a step back from lifting so much!
Once I finished university I joined forces with Tom and Connor to compete in my first bodybuilding show with the PCA in the trained figure category. From here I won my class and the overall and then competed in the British a couple weeks later, where I placed third. After that we ended up having a 2.5 year off season to move up into woman’s physique where I recently competed at the La Familia championships taken first in my class and the overall.
Hope to take this all the way, win my pro card and make my way through the pro ranks.
I got into the bodybuilding scene because my mum was an avid bodybuilder.
Unfortunately she passed when I was young, so for me doing this is carrying the flame forward for her.
I absolutely love this sport so it’s an honor to be doing it for her.
My goals are to get my pro card this year and start competing as a pro next year, I would like to see where I stand against the pro woman and then eventually try and get to the Olympia. This is a huge goal for me but one that I think is achievable over time.
My long term goal is to get to the Olympia stage and make some jaws drop!
Most notable achievement – winning my first bodybuilding show in 2018
My social is just my Instagram which is smallbutmighty20
I currently don’t have a YouTube or anything but it’s something in the works.
I will also be coaching within the next few weeks so watch out for this!
